Plant Transformation Facility

The K-State Plant Transformation Facility is housed in the Department of Plant Pathology in the College of Agriculture and provides plant tissue culture, genetic transformation, and gene editing support for researchers across campus. We utilize biolistic and Agrobacterium-transformation technologies on a variety of plants including wheat, soybean, maize, rice, and tobacco. Training is available for researchers who wish to gain expertise in tissue culture and genetic transformation/gene editing. The Plant Transformation Facility also provides wheat transformation and gene editing services for members of the US Wheat and Barley Scab Initiative community.
