The IGF is K-State’s DNA sequencing core facility. It is an outstanding research laboratory, fully equipped to perform next- and third- generation sequencing services. On a daily basis, the IGF’s research assistants perform genomics experiments contributing to the research projects of the IGF customers. More than 100 K-State research groups from 5 KSU colleges and multiple departments use the IGF’s resources and expertise. The IGF not only provides services at the university level, but also has clients from many US states and different countries. The training of next-generation scientists is one of the IGF’s missions. It is done through the annual summer workshops and individual training sessions.
